Turn your face to the sun,
Days are not so long,
The sweltering heat disappears
The birds sing a different song.
Soon the frost will be seen,
In the pumpkin patch,
The apples ripe for harvest time
Are baked up in a batch.
Ginger spice and cinnamon,
Linger in the air,
Crisp short days of autumn,
Are felt everywhere.
The leaves change their color,
No longer a bright green.
Now shades of brown & gold
And colors in between.
September & October,
A special time of year.
Counting down to winter
When the snow appears.
Back to school & Halloween
Traditions of the fall,
Pumpkins on the sidewalk
Shopping at the mall.
Time to take a little pause
As the seasons changing,
Knowing this is God's own plan
He's the master of arranging!
